asclepius âsâsı yerine caduceus kullanılmış logo. "tıbbın simgesi" olması akabinde kullanıldıysa, yanlış bir kullanım. caduceus, hermes'in âsâsı. eğer tıbbın sembolü olarak kullanılması gerekiyorsa, doğru olan âsâ asclepius'un âsâsı olacak. caduceus çift yılan ve kanatlar şeklinde. asclepius'un âsâsında, yâni tıbbın gerçek sembolünde kanatlar yok. ayrıca tek yılan var. hermes âsâsı, târihte bir amerikan medikal kuruluşunun tıp kitapları ve kurumlar için sembol arayışları içerisinde asclepius yerine yanlışlıkla hermes'i kullanması sonucu neredeyse tüm tıp kitaplarında ve tıp ilişkili kişilerin zihnine yanlış bir şekilde yerleşti. bugün hâlâ kitaplarda bu âsânın (caduceus) yanlışlıkla tıp sembolü yerine kullanıldığını görebilirsiniz.
